Description of the plant
A true Chilean splendor!
Indeed, this color of flowering, this blue-green hesitating between turquoise and sapphire blue, is not very common in the plant kingdom. And our Puya knows perfectly how to show it off with its immense flowering stems full of flowers whose bright orange stamens bring out the beauty and nuances of this blue.
Its leaves are in the form of flared tufts and are edged with spines, as if to encourage you to enjoy them only with your eyes! It is also known as a "sheep-eating plant" because sheep's wool sometimes clings to these famous thorny edges, holding them captive and letting them die of exhaustion...
So, unless you own a sheep, this plant is for you! We also suggest the yellow sheep-eating plant (Puya chilensis) and the graceful sheep-eating plant (Puya venusta).
