Indeed, with its swollen trunk with amazing shapes, this Desert Rose is reminiscent of a baobab, hence its nicknames of "false baobab" or "baobab jackal" because its latex was used to coat arrows in hunting jackals.
It will fill your life with sun: adapted to desert climates, its pale gray bark reflects the sun's rays; as for its leaves, it keeps them only part of the year to avoid excessive water evaporation. On the other hand, it is capable of flowering all year round, giving spectacular blooms right on the bare wood!
Its flowers are reminiscent of those of the oleander and it lends itself easily to a bonsai culture. Our Desert Rose is sober and easy to live with, it only fears excess water because its trunk is full of it.
